Description

The present invention relates to a survey management device and system, as well as a survey management method and program, that sends surveys and receives and manages responses to those surveys.

Conventionally, devices have been proposed that send questionnaires to terminal devices and receive and manage responses to the questionnaires sent from those terminal devices.

For example, Patent Document 1 proposes a system that, when sending multiple questionnaires to the same person's terminal device, displays the answers to previous questionnaires on the terminal device to help respondents provide appropriate answers.

Here, for example, the school may conduct a survey of parents with two children to find out whether or not they would like to participate in school events.

In such cases, it is possible to send a questionnaire to the parent's terminal device and obtain responses to the questionnaire from the terminal device. For example, as mentioned above, if a questionnaire about whether or not to participate in a school event is sent to the terminal device of a parent with two children, the terminal device will receive the questionnaire as one sent to each of the two children.

Since the two children have the same guardian, the responses to the same survey sent to both children will be the same.

However, even in cases like this, it would be time-consuming to enter the same answers individually for each child's questionnaire. Furthermore, if each child answers the same questionnaire individually, there is a risk that they may mistakenly enter different answers, even though the same answers should be entered.

In addition to cases where schools send questionnaires to parents as described above, there are also cases where the same questionnaire is sent to multiple respondents belonging to a specific group, and it may be necessary to enter the same answers for multiple respondents.

In light of the above circumstances, the present invention aims to provide a survey management device and system, as well as a survey management method and program, that can eliminate the need to enter the same answers multiple times when sending the same survey to multiple respondents and prevent answering errors.

The survey management device of the present invention includes a survey sending unit that sends surveys to terminal devices, a response receiving unit that receives responses to the surveys sent from the terminal devices, and a control unit that determines whether the same survey has been sent to multiple respondent subjects belonging to the terminal devices, and, if the same survey has been sent to multiple respondent subjects, controls the system so that responses from multiple respondent subjects to the same survey can be accepted all at once.

The survey management device of the present invention controls the system so that, when the same survey is sent to multiple respondents, responses from multiple respondents to the same survey can be accepted all at once. This eliminates the need to enter the same response multiple times to the same survey and prevents incorrect responses.

A survey management system using one embodiment of the survey management device of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 is a block diagram showing the general configuration of the survey management system 1 of this embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 1, the survey management system 1 of this embodiment includes a school terminal device 10, a survey management device 20, and a parent terminal device 30. In this embodiment, the parent terminal device 30 corresponds to the respondent terminal device of the present invention.

The school terminal device 10 and the questionnaire management device 20, and the questionnaire management device 20 and the parent terminal device 30 are connected via a communication line. The communication line may be an internet line or a telephone line. The communication line may also be wired or wireless.

First, we will explain the general processing flow of the survey management system 1 of this embodiment. The survey management system 1 of this embodiment is a system used by schools and the parents of students attending those schools, and is a system that mainly manages the sending of surveys from schools to parents and the sending of survey responses from parents to schools.

First, a teacher or other person at a school sends a questionnaire to students' parents using a school terminal device 10. The questionnaire sent from the school terminal device 10 is accepted by the questionnaire management device 20.

The questionnaire management device 20 sends the received questionnaire to the parent terminal device 30. The questionnaire management device 20 then determines whether the same questionnaire has been sent to multiple respondents. Examples of multiple respondents include siblings who belong to the same family (parent). Furthermore, the same questionnaire does not necessarily have to be word for word the same, but refers to questionnaires that are assigned the same questionnaire identifier and are managed (treated) as the same questionnaire. In this embodiment, a questionnaire ID, which will be described later, is used as an example of a questionnaire identifier. Therefore, for example, parts unrelated to the questions in the questionnaire, such as "To Taro's parents" and "To Jiro's parents," at the beginning may be different.

When the same questionnaire is sent to multiple respondents, the questionnaire management device 20 controls the system so that responses from multiple respondents can be accepted all at once. Specifically, the questionnaire management device 20 causes the parent terminal device 30 to display a screen that allows responses from multiple respondents to be submitted all at once; this screen will be described in detail later.

Parents enter and set responses to the survey on a screen that allows them to respond in bulk, and the responses of multiple respondents are sent in bulk from the parent terminal device 30 to the survey management device 20.

In this way, by entering answers to questionnaires on a screen that allows you to answer all at once, you can avoid the hassle of entering the same answers multiple times for the same questionnaire and prevent incorrect answers.

When the survey management device 20 receives responses from multiple respondent subjects in a batch, it performs a response acceptance process for the multiple respondent subjects. The response acceptance process will be described later. By performing the response acceptance process for multiple respondent subjects using a single response received in a batch in this way, processing can be performed efficiently.

The above is a rough outline of the processing flow of the survey management system 1 of this embodiment. Note that while only one school terminal device 10 is shown in Figure 1, in reality there will be at least as many as there are schools. Also, while only one parent terminal device 30 is shown, in reality there will be at least as many as the number of households to which students belong.

Next, we will explain in detail each device that makes up the survey management system 1 of this embodiment.

As mentioned above, the school terminal device 10 is used by school staff such as teachers, and may be, for example, a desktop computer or laptop computer, but is not limited to these and may also be a mobile terminal such as a tablet device.

The school terminal device 10 is equipped with a control unit 11. The control unit 11 controls the entire school terminal device 10. In particular, the control unit 11 displays a questionnaire creation screen for creating a questionnaire to be sent from the school to the parents of students. The questionnaire creation screen will be described in detail later.

A display device 12 such as an LCD display is connected to the school terminal device 10, and the survey creation screen is displayed on this display device 12. If a tablet terminal is used as the school terminal device 10, the survey creation screen is displayed on the touch panel of the tablet terminal.

The school terminal device 10 is equipped with a CPU (Central Processing Unit), semiconductor memory such as ROM (Read Only Memory) and RAM (Random Access Memory), storage such as a hard disk, and a communication I/F (Interface).

A school application is installed in the storage of the school terminal device 10. When this school application is started by the CPU, a survey creation screen is displayed on the school terminal device 10, allowing users to enter settings such as survey recipients and questions. Note that instead of using a school application installed in storage as in this embodiment, a school application provided via a web browser may also be used.

In addition, in this embodiment, the display of the questionnaire creation screen is controlled by executing the school application using the CPU, but some or all of the functions executed by the school application may be configured using hardware such as an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array), or other electrical circuits.

The survey management device 20 is a server device that accepts surveys sent from the school terminal devices 10 and stores them. It then sends the stored surveys to the parents (parent terminal devices 30) of the students (respondents) to whom the surveys were sent. It then receives responses to the questions in the surveys sent by the parents and stores the responses. It then sends the stored responses to the school terminal devices 10.

Specifically, the survey management device 20 includes a survey acceptance unit 21, a survey transmission unit 22, a response acceptance unit 23, a response transmission unit 24, and a control unit 25.

The survey management device 20 includes a CPU, semiconductor memory such as ROM and RAM, storage such as a hard disk, and a communication I/F. An embodiment of the survey management program of the present invention is installed in the storage of the survey management device 20. When this survey management program is executed by the CPU, the above-mentioned survey acceptance unit 21, survey transmission unit 22, response acceptance unit 23, response transmission unit 24, and control unit 25 function.

The survey acceptance unit 21 accepts and stores surveys sent from the school terminal device 10. Specifically, a survey sent from the school terminal device 10 contains, in addition to the questions in the survey, information such as a survey ID for identifying the survey, the survey title, the sender of the survey, and the date and time the survey was sent. Furthermore, the survey also contains identification information for the class at the school to which it was sent (hereinafter referred to as the class ID).

The survey acceptance unit 21 accepts surveys sent from the school terminal devices 10 and stores various information related to the survey in the survey data table shown in Figure 2A, the question table shown in Figure 2B, and the question option table shown in Figure 2C. The various information related to the survey is managed in association with a survey ID.

Based on the class ID added to the questionnaire, the questionnaire sending unit 22 identifies the students who belong to the class identified by that class ID. The questionnaire sending unit 22 then identifies the family to which the identified students belong, identifies the guardian of that family, and identifies the parent terminal device 30 linked to the parent ID of that guardian. The questionnaire sending unit 22 then transmits information related to the questionnaire to the identified parent terminal device 30.

Specifically, the survey sending unit 22 stores a class-student table such as that shown in Figure 3A, a home-student table such as that shown in Figure 3B, and a home-guardian table such as that shown in Figure 3C.

The class-student table is a table that associates a class ID with the student ID of a student who belongs to the class identified by that class ID. The family-student table is a table that associates a student ID with the family ID of the family to which the student identified by that student ID belongs. The family-guardian table is a table that associates a family ID with the guardian ID of the guardian who belongs to the family identified by that family ID.

Based on the class ID added to the questionnaire, the questionnaire sending unit 22 references the class-student table shown in Figure 3A to identify the student ID corresponding to that class ID, references the family-student table shown in Figure 3B to identify the family ID corresponding to that student ID, and references the family-guardian table such as that shown in Figure 3C to identify the guardian ID corresponding to the identified family ID. The questionnaire sending unit 22 then transmits information related to the questionnaire to the guardian terminal device 30 linked to the identified guardian ID.

The answer receiving unit 23 receives answers to the questionnaire sent from the parent terminal device 30. When a questionnaire is received by the questionnaire receiving unit 21, the answer receiving unit 23 creates a question and answer table shown in Figure 4 for the questionnaire ID of that questionnaire. The question and answer table includes the questionnaire answer ID, the class ID to which the questionnaire was sent, the questionnaire ID, the student ID, and an answer flag.

The answer flag is a flag that indicates whether an answer has already been accepted (whether the parent or guardian has already sent an answer). If the answer flag is "FALSE", it indicates that an answer has not yet been accepted, and if the answer flag is "TRUE", it indicates that an answer has already been accepted. In the question and answer table shown in Figure 4, a survey with survey ID "QID1" was sent to two students, student ID "STID1" and student ID "SIID2", and answers have not yet been accepted from either student.

The survey response ID is an ID assigned to each student's response to the survey. A survey response ID is generated for each combination of survey ID and student ID.

The answer receiving unit 23 stores the question and answer details table shown in Figure 5, which stores the answer contents (question number and option number) linked to the survey answer ID.

When an answer to a questionnaire is accepted by the answer acceptance unit 23, the answer sending unit 24 references the questionnaire ID attached to the answer, identifies the sender of the original questionnaire, and sends the answer to the school terminal device 10 used by that sender.

The control unit 25 has a CPU and controls the entire survey management device 20. In particular, the control unit 25 determines whether the same survey has been sent to multiple respondents, as described above.

Then, when the same questionnaire is sent to multiple respondent subjects, the questionnaire management device 20 controls the device so that responses from multiple respondent subjects can be accepted all at once. Specifically, the questionnaire management device 20 causes the parent terminal device 30 to display a screen that allows responses from multiple respondent subjects to be submitted all at once. Then, when responses from multiple respondent subjects are accepted all at once, the control unit 25 performs response acceptance processing for the multiple respondent subjects.

In this embodiment, the above-mentioned components of the survey management device 20 are made to function by executing a survey management program using a CPU, but some or all of the functions executed by the survey management program may be configured using hardware such as an ASIC, FPGA, or other electrical circuit.

Next, the parent terminal device 30 is used by the parent as described above, and is, for example, a mobile terminal such as a smartphone or tablet. However, it is not limited to these, and can also be a desktop computer or laptop computer.

The parent terminal device 30 is equipped with a control unit 31. The control unit 31 controls the entire parent terminal device 30. In particular, the control unit 31 displays on the touch panel a survey list screen that displays a list of surveys sent from the school terminal device 10 and received via the survey management device 20, and a survey response screen that accepts input of survey questions and their answers. The survey list screen and survey response screen will be described in more detail later.

In addition, when displaying the questionnaire response screen, the control unit 31 displays a screen on the touch panel that allows responses from multiple respondents (students) to be made at once.

The control unit 31 then transmits the answers entered on the survey response screen to the school terminal device 10 via the survey management device 20.

The parent terminal device 30 is equipped with a CPU, semiconductor memory such as ROM and RAM, storage such as a hard disk, and a communication I/F (Interface).

A parental application is installed in the storage of the parental terminal device 30. When this parental application is started by the CPU, the various screens described above are displayed on the parental terminal device 30, allowing various settings to be entered. Note that instead of using a parental application installed in storage as in this embodiment, a parental application provided via a web browser may also be used.

In addition, in this embodiment, the display of various screens is controlled by executing a parental application using a CPU, but some or all of the functions executed by the parental application may be configured using hardware such as an ASIC, FPGA, or other electrical circuitry.

Next, the processing of the survey management system 1 of this embodiment will be described in detail with reference to the flowcharts shown in Figures 6 and 7.

First, a school staff member (here, "Riso Hanako") starts up the school application installed on the school terminal device 10 (S10), and displays a questionnaire creation screen such as that shown in FIG. 8 (S12). Then, a questionnaire is created on the questionnaire creation screen shown in FIG. 8 (S14).

On the survey creation screen shown in Figure 8, the survey title, sender, body, recipient class, and questions are set and entered. In the example shown in Figure 8, a "PTA General Meeting Participation Survey" has been created, and the recipient classes are specified as "1st Grade Class 1" and "6th Grade Class 1" for the 20XX academic year. The year of the recipient class is selected using a pull-down menu.

The survey creation screen shown in Figure 8 has two questions set: "Would you like to participate on 20XX/2/10?" and "Would you like to participate on 20XX/2/11?". The options for each question are "Yes, I will participate" and "No, I will not participate."

Also, when the "Add Option" button is selected, an option is added, and when a specific option is selected and the "Delete Option" button is selected, that option is deleted.

In addition, selecting the "Add Question" button will add a question, and selecting a specific question and then the "Delete Question" button will delete that question.

Also, when the maximum number of options has been set, the "Add option" button will be dimmed, and when the maximum number of questions has been set, the "Add question" button will be dimmed.

In addition, to delete questions, a trash can icon may be displayed next to each question, and the question may be deleted when the trash can icon is selected. If there are two or more questions, the trash can icon may be displayed for all questions, and if there is only one question, the trash can icon may be hidden.

Then, when the "Send Registration" button on the survey creation screen is selected, the survey created on the survey creation screen is sent to the survey management device 20 (S16). At this time, a survey ID is added to the survey from the school terminal device 10 before it is sent.

The questionnaire sent from the school terminal device 10 is accepted by the questionnaire management device 20 (S18). When the questionnaire management device 20 accepts the questionnaire sent from the school terminal device 10, it stores information about the questionnaire, along with the questionnaire ID, in the questionnaire data table, question table, and question option table shown in Figures 2A to 2C (S20).

Then, the survey management device 20 identifies the parent ID as described above based on the survey destination (class ID) sent together with the survey from the school terminal device 10, and sends the survey to the parent terminal device 30 that has that parent ID (S22).

The questionnaire sent from the questionnaire management device 20 is accepted by the parent terminal device 30.

Then, the parent application is launched on the parent terminal device 30 (S24), and the survey is confirmed (S26). Specifically, when the parent application is launched, the home screen shown in FIG. 9 is displayed. Then, when the "Survey" button on the home screen is selected, a survey list screen is displayed. The survey list screen displays the survey title, sender, and send date and time, etc.

When a specific survey displayed on the survey list screen is selected, a survey response screen is displayed for entering and inputting answers to the selected survey. The survey response screen displays the survey questions and fields for entering and inputting answers.

Next, on the survey response screen, an option for the question is selected and a response operation is performed (S28). When the response on the survey response screen is completed, the response is sent from the parent terminal device 30 to the survey management device 20 (S30). At this time, the parent ID and survey ID are sent from the parent terminal device 30 to the survey management device 20 along with the response to the survey question.

When the survey management device 20 receives the parent/guardian ID and the answer, it references the family parent table shown in FIG. 3C and the family student table shown in FIG. 3B based on the parent/guardian ID and identifies the student ID. Then, based on the student ID and survey ID, the survey management device 20 identifies the survey answer ID in the question/answer table shown in FIG. 4, and stores the answer content (question number and selected option number) in the column for that survey answer ID in the question/answer details table shown in FIG. 5 (S32). Then, once the survey answer content has been stored, the control unit 25 of the survey management device 20 changes the answer flag in the question/answer table shown in FIG. 4 from "FALSE" to "TRUE" (S34).

Next, the survey management device 20 transmits the answer contents stored in the question and answer details table to the school terminal device 10 along with the survey ID and student ID (S36). The survey answer contents are received and confirmed by the school terminal device 10 (S38).

Here, if multiple students (brothers or sisters) are registered in the parent terminal device 30 and the same questionnaire is sent from the questionnaire management device 20 to the parent terminal device 30 for these multiple registered students, the parent terminal device 30 will receive the same questionnaire for each child. However, if, for example, the same answers are to be given to the same questionnaire, it would be time-consuming to set and input the same answers individually for each child's questionnaire.

Therefore, in this embodiment, when a response operation to a questionnaire is performed on the parent terminal device 30, the control unit 25 of the questionnaire management device 20 determines whether the same questionnaire has been sent to multiple respondent persons registered on the parent terminal device 30.
If the control unit 25 determines that the same questionnaire has been sent to multiple respondents, it controls the parent terminal device 30 to display a screen on which all respondents can answer the same questionnaire at once. The process of displaying the screen on which all respondents can answer at once will be described in more detail below with reference to the flowcharts shown in Figures 10 and 11.

After the parent terminal device 30 receives the questionnaire, an operation is performed to display the questionnaire response screen in order to respond to the questionnaire (S40). Specifically, as described above, the operation to display the questionnaire response screen is performed by selecting a specific questionnaire on the questionnaire list screen.

In response to the display operation of the survey response screen, the parent terminal device 30 transmits the parent ID and the survey ID of the survey selected in the display operation of the survey response screen to the survey management device 20. (S42)

Then, the survey management device 20 receives the parent ID and survey ID (S44). The control unit 25 identifies the student ID corresponding to the received parent ID based on that parent ID (S46). Because parent IDs and parent terminal devices 30 are linked one-to-one, the process of identifying the student ID corresponding to a parent ID is the process of identifying the student ID belonging to the parent terminal device 30.

Specifically, the control unit 25 refers to the home guardian table shown in Figure 3C and identifies the home ID corresponding to the received guardian ID.

The control unit 25 then references the family/student table shown in Figure 3B based on the identified family ID and identifies the student ID corresponding to the identified family ID.

The control unit 25 then acquires the student's survey response status based on the identified student ID and survey ID (S48). Specifically, the control unit 25 references the question and answer table shown in FIG. 4 based on the student ID and survey ID. The control unit 25 then acquires the student's survey response status by acquiring the state of the answer flag in the question and answer table. At this time, if the control unit 25 determines that multiple student IDs exist for the same survey ID, it acquires the survey response status corresponding to each student ID. A case in which it is determined that multiple student IDs exist for the same survey ID occurs when the same survey has been sent to multiple students (respondents).

Then, the control unit 25 transmits the status of the students' survey responses to the parent terminal device 30 (S50). Specifically, the control unit 25 transmits the survey ID, multiple student IDs, and the status of their response flags to the parent terminal device 30.

The control unit 31 of the parent terminal device 30 then displays the survey response screen based on the received multiple student IDs and the status of the response flags (S52).

For example, if multiple student IDs have been received and there are student IDs with response flags set to "FALSE" other than the student ID for which the questionnaire response screen was displayed (S54, YES), the control unit 31 of the parent terminal device 30 displays a screen on which all students can respond to the same questionnaire as described above at once. Specifically, the control unit 31 of the parent terminal device 30 displays the names and check boxes of students other than the currently open student at the bottom of the questionnaire response screen for the currently open student (S56). Then, the check boxes of the students who will respond at once are checked (S58), and the questionnaire responses are accepted by the parent terminal device 30 (S60). As described above, by displaying a screen on which all students can respond to the same questionnaire at once, it is easier to enter responses from multiple students to whom the same questionnaire was sent.

In S54, if only one student ID is received, or if there are no student IDs with a response flag set to "FALSE" other than the student ID that displayed the survey response screen (S54, NO), the check box described above will not be displayed, and only the response of the currently open student will be accepted (S60).

In addition, in this embodiment, it is also possible to choose not to check the checkboxes of students who have not yet responded. In this case, only the responses of the currently open student will be accepted. In other words, in this embodiment, it is possible to choose between accepting responses from multiple respondents at once, or accepting individual responses from multiple respondents. This allows for flexibility in responding to the questionnaire, improving usability.

Here, we will explain with reference to specific screen examples. Figure 12 is a diagram showing an example of a survey list screen. The survey list screen shown in Figure 12 displays the survey title "PTA General Meeting Participation Survey," the sender "Vice Principal," and the sent date and time "2021/12/6 9:00," etc.

The survey list screen shown in Figure 12 displays tabs for each student ("Taro" and "Jiro"). Figure 12 shows the state when the "Taro" tab is selected. When the "Taro" tab is selected, a list of surveys sent to "Taro" as the respondent is displayed, and when the "Jiro" tab is selected, the screen switches to the one shown in Figure 13, where a list of surveys sent to "Jiro" as the respondent is displayed. Note that this shows the survey list screen when the same survey, "PTA General Meeting Participation Survey," is sent to "Taro" and "Jiro."

For example, when the "Taro" tab is selected and the "PTA General Meeting Participation Survey" displayed on the survey list screen is selected, a survey response screen is displayed for setting and inputting responses to the selected survey. Figure 14 is a diagram showing an example of the survey response screen for "Taro." The survey response screen for "Taro" displays the survey questions and fields for setting and inputting the answers. In the example shown in Figure 14, the two questions set and input on the survey creation screen shown in Figure 8 are displayed on the survey response screen, and the options for those questions are displayed as radio buttons. Furthermore, a check box for "Jiro" is displayed at the bottom of the survey response screen for "Taro" shown in Figure 14.

On the other hand, when the "Jiro" tab is selected and a specific survey displayed on the survey list screen is selected, a survey response screen is displayed for setting and inputting responses to the selected survey. When answering the same questions for multiple students (for example, "Taro" and "Jiro") displayed on the parent terminal device 30, the answers to the questions in the currently open student survey are entered on the currently open student survey response screen, and the checkboxes displayed at the bottom of the survey response screen are checked.

When the "Submit" button is selected on the survey response screen shown in Figure 14 or 15, the responses of multiple students are sent in bulk from the parent terminal device 30 to the survey management device 20.

Next, we will explain the response acceptance process in the survey management device 20 with reference to the flowchart shown in Figure 16.

First, as described above, the parent terminal device 30 accepts the survey responses, and when the "Submit" button on the survey response screen is selected, the parent terminal device 30 transmits the survey ID, student ID, and survey response of the completed survey to the survey management device 20 (S62).

When the control unit 25 of the questionnaire management device 20 receives the questionnaire ID, student ID, and questionnaire answers sent from the parent terminal device 30 (S64), it performs an answer acceptance process. Specifically, the control unit 25 refers to the question and answer table shown in FIG. 4 and identifies the questionnaire answer ID from the received student ID and questionnaire ID.
